Vibroacoustic Therapy
Vibroacoustic therapy useds low-frequency vibrations delivered through specialized equipment to create gentle, rhythmic sensations throughout the body. These vibrations work in tandem with immersive sound to calm the nervous system and support physical and emotional balance.
The special table has embedded transducers that stream sound vibrations. The physical vibrations stimulate mechanoreceptors in your skin and deep in your tissues. This triggers your parasympathetic nervous system, which takes you out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and digest”.
When listening to specific frequencies, your brain begins to mirror them. Delta sounds waves trigger essential growth hormones that help with tissue repair, cellular regeneration and immune recovery. It can also drastically lower cortisol levels which help reduce systemic inflammation.
Alpha sounds waves can match human alpha brain activity, which promote a calm, relaxed and alert mental state ideal for focus, meditation and light rest.
Theta sound waves promote a deep state of rest, promotes mental clarity, emotional release and physical relaxation.
More research is coming out about common healing frequencies. Depending on the frequency it is said to help with pain, feelings of guilt, tissue repair, anxiety and so much more.
It is evident that vibroacoustic therapy is beneficial for our mental, emotional and physical well-being. When combined with massage therapy, the body is able to relax more quickly and deeply, allowing hands-on work to be more effective and long-lasting.
